Wood Chipper Murder
A case study on Forensic Science.
ART DIRECTION: Keith Somers
The Woodchipper Murder was a case that my Grandfather worked on as a forensic scientist in 1986. For this website, I wanted to focus on how this case was so important to the development of forensic science. I focus on pulling the user through the events of the case, and explain on each page how these events tie into proving the importance of forensic science. The aesthetics are heavily based on old newspaper clippings, with heavy typography and photography usage. I also use snap scrolling and monochromatic, grainy imagery so that it had the feeling of the film in the projectors during the 80s.
